Last updated 20 January 2026 (UK)
This Information Notice is designed to make key information easy to find early in your journey—especially information about fees, payment authorisation, cancellations and refunds.
- We are a credit broker, not a lender. FCA FRN 730110.
- Broker Fee disclosure: where a broker fee applies, we disclose what it is, when it is payable, and how it is payable.
- Express consent: we will not take a broker fee without your express authorisation.
- Distance contracts: where your contract is concluded online/phone, you may have a 14‑day right to cancel.
1) Who we are and our role
We act as a credit broker in relation to vehicle leasing/consumer hire, and we introduce customers to a limited panel of lessors/funders (providers). We are not a lender and do not provide funds to customers.
This notice is provided in a “plain English” format to help you understand key points before you decide to proceed. It does not replace the provider’s agreement or any terms you accept as part of an order.

2) Fee information notice
The purpose of this section is to clearly set out any fee payable to us, including what it is, when it is payable and how it is payable. You should read this before you place an order or authorise any payment.
| Who you are dealing with | Avail Vehicle Contracts Ltd (Company No. 06523008) |
|---|---|
| Our role | We are a credit broker, not a lender. |
| Fee payable (where applicable) |
PCH (regulated consumer hire): £299 (Inc. VAT), where applicable. BCH (regulated business leasing): £299 (Inc. VAT), where applicable. |
| When payable | At the point of order (we will confirm in writing before you commit). |
| How payable | We will confirm the payment method (for example card payment or bank transfer) before any payment is taken. |
| Refunds | Refunds (if any) depend on the stage of the order and the terms you have agreed. See Section 5 for a practical overview and refer to the applicable terms/confirmation documents for the specific rules that apply to your order. |
If you are unsure whether a fee applies to your enquiry, ask us and we will confirm.
4) Refunds, cancellations and early termination
Leasing journeys can involve multiple parties (you, the provider, and often a supplying dealer). Rights and charges can depend on the stage of the journey and which contract you are cancelling. This section explains key concepts in a practical way.
5.1 Important distinction: what are you cancelling?
- Our broking service (our work introducing you and progressing your order).
- The provider’s hire agreement (the agreement you enter into with the lessor/funder).
- The vehicle supply/order (often linked to dealer allocation, build slots, transport and preparation).
These can have different terms and consequences. Always ask if you are unsure which stage you are at.
5.2 Cancellations before delivery
If you cancel before a vehicle is registered and delivered, costs may still have been incurred. Where our Terms and Conditions apply and where applicable, we may charge a cancellation fee for services already provided (for example, a fee equivalent to three months’ rental inclusive of VAT).
Any cancellation fee will be explained to you and will be consistent with the terms you have agreed.
5.3 Early termination after delivery
Ending a lease/hire agreement early is typically expensive. Providers often charge early termination fees (commonly calculated as a percentage of remaining rentals plus additional costs).
If flexibility is important, discuss it with us before you proceed so we can explain common provider approaches and the likely impact.
5.4 Refund requests
If you believe a refund is due under the terms that apply, contact us with as much detail as possible (vehicle/quote reference, date, and reason).
- Telephone: 01989 313452
- Email: stuart@avail.co.uk
- Post: Clouds Harrow, Brampton Abbotts, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7JE
5) Distance contracts (14‑day cancellation)
If your contract with us is concluded as a distance contract (for example online or by telephone, without an in‑person conclusion), you may have the right to cancel within 14 days.
This right relates to our service, not necessarily the provider’s hire agreement or the vehicle supply arrangements. If you have asked for services to start immediately, this may affect any refund position. The applicable terms will be explained to you.
To cancel, contact us using the details in Section 1 and clearly state you wish to cancel.
6) Sharing personal information
In order to provide quotations and progress an application, we will need to share your information with relevant third parties. Depending on your journey, this can include:
- providers (lessors/funders) to obtain quotes, assess eligibility and provide agreements
- supplying dealers and delivery partners (where necessary to supply the vehicle)
- credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies (typically via providers)
- service providers who support our operations (for example CRM, email and telephony providers)
We aim to share only what is necessary, for the purposes agreed and in line with our privacy policy.
7) BVRLA membership and fair wear & tear
We are a member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA).
At the end of a lease/hire agreement, vehicles are typically assessed against fair wear and tear standards, as recommended by the BVRLA. Ask us if you would like links or guidance on common fair wear and tear expectations.
8) Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service (including fee disclosure, payments, cancellations or refunds), please contact us so we can investigate and respond.
